It’s not often you get to enter the mind of a legendary, trailblazing chef—but now is your chance. Join acclaimed chef, restaurateur, and author Jean-Georges Vongerichten in conversation with Chefwise: Life Lessons from Leading Chefs Around the World author Shari Bayer for a morning of fascinating discussion.  Known for launching such city-defining restaurants such as his first, JoJo on the Upper East Side, flagship Jean-Georges at Columbus Circle and Tin Building at The Seaport , today Vongerichten is responsible for the operation and success of over 60 restaurants worldwide. In addition to her latest book, Bayer is the host of the popular podcast All in the Industry and founder of New York City–based Bayer Public Relations which recently celebrated its 20th year. Together they will dive into a range of topics from Chefwise which encompass matters applicable both in and out of the kitchen. From sourcing practices to business acumen to finding balance, this dynamic dialogue will provide an up-close look at the industry and the lessons that have resulted from a lifetime of running restaurants.

Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.

All reservations are non-refundable and must be made in advance. Should the event be cancelled due to any unforeseen circumstances, including COVID-19, JBF will offer a range of options, including ticket exchanges, the option to donate tickets, or a full refund.
