About Chef Marco Calenzo:
A childhood in Florence, Italy, a city synonymous with art and culture, together with growing up in a family with a strong knowledge in produce, allowed chef Marco Calenzo to build since a young age a passion for transmitting his country’s cuisine, with great respect for seasonality of ingredients. After spending years in Michelin-starred restaurants across Italy, London, and Japan, he became executive chef at Lido Restaurant at the Surf Club in 2023. His distinctive style transmits a fresh perspective on classic Mediterranean dishes with a predominant focus on Italian cuisine with Japanese influence.

Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
James Beard Foundation events permit guests age 21 years and older to attend events where alcoholic beverages are served.
