Icelandic chef Snaedis Xyza Mae Ocampo and pastry chef Olof Olofsdottir will prepare an Icelandic feast, drawing inspiration from the award-winning courses of the 2024 Icelandic Culinary Team. Indulge in a showcase of Iceland's finest ingredients and flavors, crafted into an outstanding dining experience. The menu will feature centerpiece ingredients from Iceland, including cod, lamb, and skyr.

About Olof Olofsdottir:
Olof Olafsdottir is a well-known pastry chef at Monkeys Restaurant in Reykjavik, Iceland. She gained widespread acclaim by winning the prestigious Dessert of the Year competition 2021. Olafsdottir is also the author of the popular pastry book Ómótstæðilegir Eftirréttir, published in Icelandic in 2023. As a valued member of the Icelandic Culinary Team, chef Olafsdottir has achieved remarkable success, earning two gold medals and an overall third place at the IKA Culinary Olympics in 2024.
About Snaedis Xyza Mae Ocampo:
Chef Snaedis Xyza Mae Ocampo is the head chef at ION Adventure Hotel and has been the team manager of the Icelandic Culinary Team since 2023. She is currently training for the Culinary World Cup in 2026. Competition has played a decisive role in her professional journey, beginning as a Culinary Team assistant in 2015. She ascended to team captain from 2017 to 2020, leading the team to a gold medal at the Culinary World Cup in 2018. She also secured two gold medals and an overall third place at the Culinary Olympics in 2020, marking the first time the Icelandic team reached the podium.

Tickets to events held at Platform at Pier 57 by the James Beard Foundation cover the cost of food, education and a unique dining experience. Meals are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. Unless otherwise stated, alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
James Beard Foundation events permit guests age 21 years and older to attend events where alcoholic beverages are served.
