Harris is the author of twelve critically acclaimed books documenting the foods and foodways of the African Diaspora, including the seminal work, High on the Hog: A Culinary Journey from Africa to America. Her newest book, an updated edition of A Kwanzaa Keepsake and Cookbook shares traditions, proverbs, recipes, and more for celebrating the holiday. Dr. Harris will be joined in conversation by Therese Nelson, a chef, writer, and the founder of BlackCulinaryHistory.com.
